Trekking in the snow

There have been a couple of big snow falls in San Juan this winter, though currently from the village you can only see snow on the high peaks as the last fall dates from start January. It was a treat indeed then to see this snowy white landscape in Plan de l'Abet, an hour and a half walk from the Puen Pecador near San Juan. Better to wear gaiters though as every now and again, I found myself sinking down further than expeced. Tiring but the shortcut down through the Selva forest rather than the long windy piste made for a quick and exciting return.
