Mountain barn for holiday rent

Recently restored stone barn set in spectacular mountain setting at entrance to Posets-Maladeta Natural Park. Access is via the track that leads to the start of Ibon de Sen walk near San Juan de Plan. From village, it is a 10kms drive along a mountain piste, better to have 4X4 but also practicable by car taking it slowly.
The barn has 2 bedrooms with beds measuring 135cms. Each bedroom also has a foldaway single bed.
Ideal for those who want to get away from it all for a while, yet at the same time enjoy everyday luxuries: kitchen, bathroom, television etc... The barn functions with solar energy.

Pic de Neouvielle - 3091m

Across the border from Spain to France, an hour and a quarter drive from Chistau Valley to start of walk in carpark of Aubert Lake in Neouvielle Natural Park. The early morning reflection on lake at 2160m greeted us, shortly followed by marmots and lots of rhododendrons in flower. The 900m climb took us 4 hours due to large amount of snow on upper slopes, however this made for a quick descent, only 2 hours. Top top: take an ice pick if you are thinking of doing climb in coming weeks. The views from top are spectacular: Neouvielle's many lakes, Perdido and Posets in Spain, Vignemale, Pic du Midi and many more.

Frog Escape

Helped clean drinking trough today. This little one was left looking for a means of escape. Happy ending as survived spades lots of dirt shoveled from trough, and general brush down until trough was refilled with water.
